ABOUT CARS FOR CANCER:
The Richard Taljonick III - Cars for Cancer Car Show is an annual event to honor the memory of Richard Taljonick and celebrate his birthday!.
Rick, had Grade IV Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), a fast-growing and aggressive brain cancer. Diagnosed in January of 2017 Rick chose to undergo the traditional treatments of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Unfortunately the traditional treatments have seen very little advancement in variation or success in a decade. Rick's battle lasted for over 2 years, many months longer than the majority who are diagnosed with the same disease. Statistically a person diagnosed with GBM is a 3 -15 month survival time.
May is Brain Cancer Awareness month. We hope with enough awareness, there will be more research done to help fight all forms of brain cancer/tumors and birthdays will not have to be celebrated with angels.
