Durand Railroad Days 2010 Queen & Attendant
Queen Jennifer DeClerg
Miss Railroad Days 2010 is Jennifer DeClerg, the daughter of Bert and Margie DeClerg. Jennifer is a 16 year old junior at Durand Area High School. She is an honor student and is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. She is active Future Farmers of America (FFA), community projects, Durand First United Methodist Church and Youth Group and serves as her class secretary. Her hobbies include cross country, basketball, soccer, track, reading, gardening, candle making, school activities, home lawn care and spending time with her family. Jennifer plans to attend Michigan State University and enter the veterinary medicine program to earn a degree in large animal medicine. She was sponsored by Dietrich's Flower Shop and Bert's Lawn Service.
Attendant Brandy Coates
The Miss Railroad Days Attendant is Brandy Coates, the daughter of Robert and Lori Coates. She is a 17 year old senior at Durand Area High School. She is an honor student and has earned outstanding performance on MEAP tests in science and social studies. Brandy is active in band, earning awards for Solo and Ensemble and is a member of the Durand Marching Railroaders. Her hobbies include church ministry, playing and writing music, school clubs, sports and volunteer work. She likes to cook, babysit, knit, garden, hunt, fish, go camping and spend time with her family. Brandy plans to attend college at Northwood University to earn her master's degree in accounting. Brandy is sponsored by Itchi Bon Bakery.
